PREVIOUS REQUIRED BACKGROUND

Any of the following graduates (or students with demonstrable equivalent knowledge) may access this course:

Graduate in Communication Electronics Engineering.

Graduate in Telecommunication Systems Engineering.

Graduate in Sound and Image Engineering.

Graduate in Telematic Engineering.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT

This subject is taught during the second semester of the "MSc in Systems and Services Engineering for the Information Society" (Máster en Ingeniería de Sistemas y Servicios para la Sociedad de la Información), being optional in both the professional and research itineraries of the curriculum. Its 5 ECTS correspond to a total of around 133 hours of student's work, including all activities.

 

COURSE OBJETIVES

•To perform independent learning during their professional career.

•Applying and integrating the acquired knowledge to solve problems in new environments, inside broader and multidisciplinary contexts, in the framework of their expertise area.

•To research, develop and innovate in the context of the Information Society.

•To analyze, implement and apply standards related to ICT.

•To analyze and develop software applications and protocols for advanced telematic systems.

•To specify and design advanced telematic services.

•To perform a critically interpretation and assessment of scientific documentation in the area of the Information and Communication Technologies.

•To communicate and disseminate research results.

•Public presentation of research results skills and defense of conclusions.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

•Applying new technologies with different systems for solving particular problems in the domain of services and protocols engineering.

•Identifying researching open areas in the domain of services and protocols engineering.

•Describing new techniques associate with the specification and design of highly complex telematic systems.

•Applying new techniques to solve open research problems in the field of services and protocols engineering.
